4 Steps To Register Your Hunting License

And Where To Get One

Whether you’ve gone hunting before or it’s your first year joining the club, registering or renewing your hunting license can be a bit confusing. Let our team guide you from choosing the right licenses to knowing where to go to complete your safety course. At Morr Range, we are a PA-approved agent who will walk you through the renewal or registration process for your hunting license and make every step as easy as possible. Check out our 4 steps to getting your license ready for the new year, and swing by our store for assistance with the entire process.

1. Complete the Pennsylvania hunter safety course by visiting https://www.hunter-ed.com/pennsylvania. This safety course only has to be completed once in your life, so if you’re renewing your license, you’ve already done this step. For new registrants, you must complete this course before visiting the store to complete your license registration. Those completing the course online need a driver’s license number to register. Once completed, you will receive a card that you can bring to the store for first-time hunters. For those who are simply renewing, your old license serves the same purpose and no additional cards are required.

2. Once you’ve completed your safety course and printed off your card, you’re ready to come into the store! Our team will lead you through the process of applying for the needed license types. Simply come to our main counter and we’ll lead you through the application process which only takes a few minutes to complete. If you choose to apply for your license online, you may need to do some research into what license types you’re applying for, as most hunting seasons require unique licenses.

3. The final step is simply paying for your license(s) and completing the registration processes. Purchase your license at Morr as a PA-approved agent and get your license on the spot. If you opt to apply online, expect it to take a few days for your license to get to you in the mail.

4. When the season opens, get out and start hunting!

Have Kids?

If you require a junior license (ages 12-16) or other special license types, our team at Morr can help you apply for those. All licenses are good July 1 – June 30, must be renewed every year, and each hunting season is set to a specific time frame. Make sure you know when your hunting seasons are happening and understand all safety measures necessary to go out and start hunting. For any additional license renewal or registration questions, contact us at Morr at 717-517-7135. (Pennsylvania residents and non-residents between the ages of 12 and 16 may purchase a junior hunting license. Hunters ages 12 and 13 must be accompanied by a licensed family member age 18 or older. Hunters ages 14 and 15 must be accompanied by a licensed adult age 18 or older.)
